Skyperse Water Based Acrylic Pigment Chips
SKYSPERSE AC
pigment chips are pre-dispersed pigments in water soluble styrene- acrylic
resins. Water based acrylic pigmented chips can be used to formulate water based
inks & paints with excellent compatibility and gloss. The chips are soluble
in a combination of water, alkali(ammonia or another amine).
SKYSPERSE AC
pigment chips offer maximum flexibility in formulation of high quality
waterborne printing inks, pains and coatings.

Water Treatment
Printing with
water-based inks will usually produce colored water from cleaning print rolls
and fountains. The following Procedures can remove the entire color and binder
wastes from the water, and may also be used to treat waste ink and waste water.
⑴To Waste water containing 1-2% binder
solids, add 1.5 lbs of ferric chloride or aluminum sulfate per 100 gallons of
water (0.18 kilos/100 liters).Stir until the mixture is uniform. For minimum
dissolved salts in the waste water, use aluminum sulfate.
⑵The with good mixing, add approximately 1.5
lbs.(0.18 kilogs/100 litres) of calcium hydroxide. Adjust the PH to about 7.
⑶Let the flocculation solids settle. Then
pour off the clear liquids into water disposal system and dispose off the wet
solids or rubbish. The solids will be non-toxic except for wastes from heavy
metal containing inks.
